Doda: FPOs provided Machines on 100% subsidy

DODA, May 16: Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Doda organised a programme here in the Agriculture complex   regarding Brand Promotion of Agriculture Products.

 District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan was the Chief Guest. ADDC, Pran Singh and other officers also accompanied DDC during the programme.

Chief Agriculture Officer, Anil Gupta, briefed the audience regarding the aim and objective of the programme. He also briefed about the activities of the department undertaken for the welfare and promotion of Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs).  

While addressing the gathering, the DDC gave his suggestions for the betterment of farmers and FPOs. He advised the FPO members to take the maximum benefits of government schemes.

FPO Head, Ramneek Manhas and his team were also present on the occasion. In the end, DDC Doda handed over the machinery and equipment required for brand promotion to the FPO members present on the occasion. He gave out Nitrogen fleshing Machine, Vacuum Packing Machine and Bar Coding Machine to the members of FPOs present in the programme. Among others, District and Sub Divisional level officers of the Agriculture department were present on the occasion.
