Doda; Jal Shakti Kendra shifted to DC office complex to ease public access

DODA, JUNE 02: Jal Shakti Kendra (JSK) Doda under Jal Shakti Abhiyan has been shifted to the DC office complex here for the convenience of the general public.

Earlier, the Kendra was functioning at District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) building situated far away from the main town.

The shifting of the JSK was ordered by Deputy Commissioner as the people were facing hardships to avail the services due to long distance.

Pertinent to mention here that the main objectives of Jal Shakthi Kendra is to serve public in getting information/ various services with regard to water connections, operates a public helpline number for people to clear their doubts on any water related issues, protect water resources, improve rainwater harvesting, Geotag water bodies and create awareness among people in the district on water conservation and rain water harvesting.
