Doda Police arrest most wanted absconding criminal from Punjab after 18 years
In a major development, the Doda Police has arrested a most wanted absconding criminal from Punjab who had been on the run since 2006.
Police sources reveal the accused is Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Malath, Gandoh. He reportedly faces charges under Sections 302 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 7/27 A of the Arms Act. These sections pertain to murder, attempt to murder, and unlawful possession of arms, respectively.

A team from Police Station Gandoh is credited with successfully apprehending the absconder after a period of intense effort. He was reportedly hiding in Punjab for nearly 18 years.
