Doda police seize huge illicit liquor in Dharyouth area of Gandoh

Doda Police, in a continued effort to crack down on illegal activities, seized a significant amount of illicit liquor in the Dharyouth area of Gandoh on March 31, 2024.

Acting on a tip-off regarding the production of illicit liquor, a police team led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday and assisted by PSI Parvez Ali conducted a raid on the residence of Balwant Raj. During the search, officers recovered approximately five liters of finished illicit liquor, around 50 liters of Lahan (fermenting mash), and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

An FIR (First Information Report) numbered 20/2024 has been registered at the Gandoh Police Station under relevant sections of the Excise Act. The investigation is currently underway.
