Doda police uproots poppy cultivation in Phagsoo area, FIR registered

Doda Police, in a swift operation on April 23rd, 2024, destroyed illegal poppy cultivation in the Phagsoo area of Thathri.

Acting on specific information, law enforcement authorities identified the location where poppy was being illegally cultivated. A swift and coordinated effort was then launched to uproot the illicit crop.

The team seized and destroyed all poppy plants present on the site.

Following the eradication efforts, an FIR (First Information Report) was registered against the cultivators under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
