SRINAGAR, AUGUST 22: Doda District, a vital region in the Jammu and Kashmir electoral landscape, is all set for the upcoming Assembly Elections-2024 in the first phase.
The district has recorded a total of 3,10,586 registered voters, including 1,60,057 males, 1,50,521 females, and 8 transgender across three Assembly constituencies of Bhaderwah, Doda and Doda West.
A total of 534 polling stations are spread across the three Assembly constituencies, ensuring that every registered voter has the opportunity to participate in the democratic process.
The Assembly constituency (AC) 52-Doda, representing a balanced voter distribution, recorded a total of 98,582 voters. This figure includes 50,546 male voters, 48,034 female voters, and 2 transgender voters.
A total of 171 polling stations have been allocated to serve this constituency, emphasizing its significance within the district’s electoral framework.
AC 51-Bhaderwah emerged as the largest constituency within the district, with a total of 1,24,568 registered voters. The breakdown revealed 63,944 male voters, 60,618 female voters, and 6 transgender individuals.
With 196 polling stations, Bhaderwah is poised to facilitate comprehensive electoral coverage.
AC 53-Doda West, with 87,436 voters, features 45,567 male voters and 41,869 female voters, with no transgender voters registered. To ensure efficient electoral management, 167 polling stations have been designated for this constituency.
