DPS Students explore Photo/poster Gallery on Chandrayaan Mission at Jammu University

JAMMU, August 29 In a bid to develop scientific curiosity and inspire the next generation of space enthusiasts, students of Delhi Public School (DPS) today visited and explored the Photo/Poster Gallery of all the three missions of Chandrayaan under the theme “Chandrayaan Yatra”, organized by the Office of Dean Research Studies, in association with Department of Physics, University of Jammu.The event, inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu, Prof Umesh Rai, was aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of India’s space accomplishments through an interactive and visually engaging photo gallery. Featuring an array of images, diagrams, and informational displays, the gallery highlighted the various missions undertaken under the Chandrayaan program.

Amidst an atmosphere of excitement and intellectual stimulation, the students from Delhi Public School were seen immersed in the captivating visuals depicting Chandrayaan’s missions. From the historic launch of Chandrayaan-1, which marked India’s entry into lunar exploration, to the groundbreaking discoveries made by Chandrayaan-2, and the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the southern pole of the moon, the students had the opportunity to witness India’s advancements in space technology and lunar research.

Prof Rajni Kant, Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu, emphasized the importance of such photo galleries in igniting the passion for science and space exploration among the youth. He stated, “This visit of the students of DPS is aimed at instilling a sense of wonder and curiosity about space in the young minds. We hope that these students will be inspired to pursue careers in STEM fields and contribute to India’s future space endeavors.”
