Drug Free J&K campaign: Distt admin Srinagar organizes awareness programme at GHS Shalteng

SRINAGAR, APRIL 26: As part of the ongoing Drug Free J&K campaign, an awareness programme was organized today at Government High School, Shalteng to combat drug abuse.

The programme, held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, aimed at sensitizing the local population, especially the youth, about the ill effects of drug abuse and the importance of a healthy and addiction-free lifestyle.

The event witnessed the participation of Officers from SMC, Education, Health, Excise, Social Welfare and other departments, besides the staff and students of the School.

On the occasion, speakers emphasized community responsibility in tackling substance abuse and encouraged youth to engage in constructive and developmental activities.

During the programme, interactive sessions were also held to engage the participants and spread the message effectively on the initiatives pattern. The participants took a pledge to support the drug free J&K campaign to protect the young generations from the ill effects of the drug menace.
