Drug peddler arrested outside Mominabad Court Complex in Srinagar, Charas seized

Police have apprehended a drug peddler named Abdul Hameed Pathan, son of Ali Mohd Pathan, resident of Khurhama Lolab, Kupwara.

The arrest took place as he was allegedly selling charas just outside the court complex in Mominabad.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police officers from Batmaloo Police Station swiftly moved to the location and successfully apprehended Ab Hameed Pathan. The suspect was found in possession of a considerable quantity of charas, a prohibited narcotic substance.

The incident has led to the registration of FIR No 97/2023 under sections 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Batmaloo Police Station. Authorities are expected to rigorously pursue legal action against the accused, ensuring that justice is served in accordance with the law.
