Drug peddler arrested with 10kg of poppy straw & cash in Kulgam

Kulgam July 18: Kulgam Police arrested a drug peddler in connection with a case related to drug trafficking. The accused was identified as Nasir Ah Mir, a resident of Trapoo Achabal in Anantnag district.

During the operation, the police successfully recovered approximately 10 kilograms of a substance resembling Poppy Straw, which is considered a contraband substance. Additionally, a sum of Rs 50,000, believed to be the proceeds from the narcotics trade, was also seized from the suspect.

A case has been registered under the relevant section at the concerned police station and further investigation is underway
