Drug Peddler arrested with 7 gms heroin like substance

Samba, October 09: Continuing its drive against narcotic smugglers/ peddlers, Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered approximately 7 grams heroin like substance from his possession.

Police team of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli headed by Incharge PP Rakh Amb Talli under SHO PS Samba during checking at naka Rakh Amb Talli, intercepted a person for checking who was coming from Samba side. During frisking of the said person, police recovered 7 grams approximately heroin like substance from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Rashid S/o Mureed Baksh R/o Manohar Gopala tehsil & district Samba. Police has also seized the contraband item on the spot.

A case FIR No. 263/2024 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation has been started.
