Drug peddler arrested with narcotics in Kanachak, Jammu; FIR lodged

Jammu and Kashmir Police, as part of their ongoing Operation Sanjeevani aimed at curbing drug trafficking in the region, arrested a man identified as Balwant Singh (38) in Kanachak, Jammu.

Singh was found to be in possession of 500 grams of Ganja, a psychoactive drug derived from the cannabis plant.

The arrest was made under FIR No. 80/2024 registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Police officials have taken Singh into custody and further investigations are underway.
