Drug Peddler held from Bhaderwah town

DODA, 5 January 2024: Continuing its special drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers, Doda Police on the basis of specfic information apprehended one drug peddler namely Mehraj Din son of Abdul Latief Sheikh resident of Masjid Mohalla Bhaderwah and during his personal search, huge quantity of habit forming drugs (Alpazolam tablets) were recovered from his possession.

In this connection a case FIR No. 07/2024 under relevant provisions of NDPS has been registered in Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation of the case started. During investigation forward/backward linkage is also being ascertained from the accused to identify his other associates involved in this hazardous chain which is eating the vitals of younger generation.

The general public is informed and appealed to co-operate with Police and provide assistance/information to Police,if any kind of drug peddling/selling or use of intoxicated drugs is noticed in their neighbourhood so that timely action could be taken by Police.
