Drug Peddler held with heroin in Kulgam

Kulgam Jan 21: In a significant breakthrough against the menace of drug trafficking, Kulgam Police apprehended a drug peddler identified as Zubair Ah Dar, son of Nazir Ahmad Dar and a resident of Batingoo, Anantnag. The successful operation resulted in the recovery of 8 grams of heroin-like contraband and a digital weighing machine from the possession of the accused.

The arrest was made under the provisions of FIR No.19/2024 registered at PS Qazigund, citing violations under sections 8/21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation has initiated.
