In a significant breakthrough in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking, the Jammu Police apprehended a drug peddler with 821 grams of a ganja-like substance near Bahu Plaza. This arrest marks another step in the police’s relentless drive to curb the menace of drug peddling in the region.

The arrest was made following a routine check in the Bahu Plaza area. The suspect, identified as Mohd Jubrail, was found in possession of a substantial quantity of the illicit substance. Subsequently, an FIR (No. 133) has been registered under Section 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The police have urged citizens to come forward and report any drug-related incidents, assuring them that their identities will be kept confidential.
