Drug smuggler apprehended in Pattan, Baramulla; Large haul of contraband recovered
Police have successfully apprehended a notorious drug smuggler identified as Hilal Lone, a resident of Mehmoodpora Pattan in the Baramulla district.

The arrest took place during a routine naka-checking operation in Mehmoodpora Pattan, resulting in the recovery of a substantial quantity – approximately 14 kilograms – of contraband suspected to be poppy straw or similar substances.
A case has been swiftly registered in connection with the incident. Further investigations are underway to ascertain the origin of the illicit substances, potential destinations, and any possible connections to larger drug trafficking networks.
