DSRS, JU organised an induction programme for the newly admitted students of MA in Defence and Strategic Studies

Jammu, Dec 21: The Department of Strategic and Regional Studies (DSRS), University of Jammu, Jammu organised an induction programme for the newly admitted students of MA in Defence and Strategic Studies on 21^st December, 2022.

In this programme, Director, DSRS, Dr. Virender Koundal discussed the history and objectives of the Department of Strategic and Regional Studies and also explained the scope and opportunities of the newly started MA programme for the student.

Dr. Koundal motivated the students to participate in all academic, cultural and sports activities and also suggested them to utilize the opportunities given by the University of Jammu for the progress and development of their careers. Faculty members of the DSRS Dr. Mohd. Monir Alam, Dr. Suneel Kumar and Dr. Surinder Mohan also shared their ideas with the students.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the DSRS has started the MA programme in Defence and Strategic from the session 2022-23. In the recently completed admission process, 29 students have taken admission to this programme.
