DSW, CLUJ organised Multi-Faceted Competition in Celebration of UT Foundation Day
JAMMU, October 30: The Dean Student Welfare, CLUJ celebrated UT Foundation Day by organizing an Intra-University multifaceted competitions encompassing videography, photography, painting and essay writing based on the theme Badalta Jammu Kashmir, Badalta Jammu Kashmir, Aman aur Taraqqi ki Nayi Tasveer. The intra-university competition served as a platform for self- expression and creativity, fostering a sense of unity as well as pride and witnessed enthusiastic participation from School of Sciences, School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, School of Social Sciences and School of Teacher Education wherein students showcased their creative skills in capturing the essence of UT Foundation.
Prof Mohd. Zubair Dean School of Teacher Education and Prof Chander Shakher Dean School of Engineering and Computer Technology were the Observers. Prof Savita Jamwal, Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee and Prof Reeta Menia, Assistant Dean adjudged the Painting competition in which Manikdeep Kour from School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Rohni Sharma from School of Sciences and Maqsooma Batool from School of Social Sciences stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Dr Reena Salaria, Co-ordinator, Dept of Linguistics was the esteemed Judge for Essay writing in which Alvin Singh from School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Avni Pandita from School of Science and Akriti Sharma from School of Social Science bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Videography and Photography was adjudged by Dr Vikas Dogra from GCW Parade, Dr Rohit Bhardwaj from GGM Sc College and Prof Sudesh Kumar from MAM College who evaluated submissions based on creativity, technical skill, and adherence to theme of the event. In Videography, Himanshi from School of Humanities and Liberal Arts stood 1st, Surya Dev Singh from School of Science 2nd and Aryan Goswami from School of Science bagged 3rd position whereas in Photography, Lovleen Kour from School of Teacher Education, Satyan Bhat from School of Science and Neeraj from School of Humanities and Liberal Arts bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Pertinent to mention here that 1st winner from each category of the first phase will go for inter University competition which is conducted by the University of Jammu.
The event was coordinated by Prof Ashu Manhas, Associate Dean, Prof Javaid Iqbal, Assistant Dean and Prof Mohd. Ashraf, Assistant Dean with technical support from Ms Sakshi and Mr Manoj under the guidance and supervision of Dr Ranvijay Singh, Dean Student Welfare, CLUJ.
