DSWD Reasi empowers communities through awareness camps in Reasi District

REASI, December 13: To empower the local communities, the District Social Welfare Department Reasi organized awareness camps across 60 panchayats during the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. This initiative aimed to enlighten residents about the Central and Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory-sponsored schemes.

During these camps, officials from the Social Welfare Department diligently disseminated information on crucial schemes such as Old Age and Widow Pension, Scholarships, and Specially Disable Pension. By creating awareness about these initiatives, the department seeks to ensure that eligible individuals benefit from the support available to them.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra serves as a vital platform for bridging the information gap and connecting communities with essential social welfare schemes. The commitment of the Social Welfare Department to the welfare of citizens was evident as they engaged with the public, addressing queries and providing valuable insights into the application processes.

These awareness camps represent a proactive step towards building a more informed and inclusive society. The District Social Welfare Department Reasi remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a sense of social responsibility and promoting the well-being of individuals through accessible government schemes.
