Dy CM inspects Kathua Industrial estates, asks to prioritise employment to local youth

JAMMU, DECEMBER 4: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary today conducted an extensive inspection of various industrial estates in Kathua.

He was accompanied by senior officers of Industries, Pollution Board and Labour department.

While assessing functioning of different industrial units across Kathua, the Deputy Chief Minister stressed for adhering to the guidelines set for proper working of the industries vis-a- vis human resource and the ecological concerns. He asked the industrial units to ensure a proper representation of the local skilled youth as well. He said that the industrial sector can be one of the major job providers, and they should ensure that the locals are appropriately given employment opportunities as well.

The Deputy Chief Minister also inspected SIDCO complex Kathua and interacted with the official there.

He also inspected the office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kathua.

Later, a delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir Jat Association led by former Minister Manjit Singh called on the Deputy Chief Minister. They apprised him of their issues and concerns seeking speedy redressal of the same.
