DYSSD organises Run for Unity in Banihal, Ukhral
Revenue Department, GPC Ramban conducts sanitation drives
RAMBAN, October 28: The District Youth Services and Sports Department today organized a Run for Unity at Sub-Division headquarter Banihal in which students from various schools participated in the event held as part of the Foundation Day of UT of J&K and National Unity Week.
The “Run for Unity”, marking the “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) was organized by the DYSSO in which as many as 200 youth, both girls and boys participated enthusiastically .
Similar event was also organized by the DYSSO at Ukhral in which players from different institutions including zone Banihal and Ukhral have participated to build sportsmanship and nationalism among the youth. The Officers and officials from Youth Services and Sports and Education Department also participated.
Meanwhile, the officers and officials of Revenue Department today also carried out a massive cleanliness and sanitation drive as part of ‘Swachhata Campaign’ in DC Office Complex, Ramban and made their offices in and around neat and hygienic.
The Government Polytechnic College Ramban also organized a cleanliness drive in and around the Workshop block of the institution on the eve of UT Foundation day. Meanwhile, HOD ECE, Er. Pawan Kumar sensitized the students about the ill effects of drug abuse besides administering a pledge to students and staff regarding the substance abuse free and poverty free Jammu & Kashmir under Badalta J&K, Badta J&K.
The whole event was coordinated by Susheel Kumar and Wasim Ahmed under the supervision of Er. Aabid Hussain Dem. Electrical Engineering and under overall supervision of the Principal of the institution Er. Vivek Mahajan.
