EC Tashi Yakzee reviews preparation for upcoming 3rd edition of Nomadic Festival 2023

Leh, June 27: Executive Councillor, Rural Development, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee chaired a meeting with the concerned stakeholders to review the preparations for the upcoming 3rd edition of the Nomadic Festival 2023, scheduled to be held from July 15-16 at Hanle village in Changthang.

Councillor Chushul, Konchok Stanzin; Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang; Councillor Korzok, Karma Namdak; Councillor Kungyam, Thinles Nurboo; Nominated Councillor Konchok Tsephel and Deputy Secretary, LAACL Leh, Tsewang Paljor attended the meeting.

Deliberating on the arrangements, the meeting decided that cultural troupe from villages across Changthang region would participate presenting a kaleidoscopic view of the nomadic lifestyle and traditions. The meeting also discussed on other aspects, including logistical support required from concerned departments and agencies to successfully conduct the festival.

Regarding the logistical support, EC Tashi Yakzee shared that he would direct the concerned departments/agencies to ensure that the necessary requirements are provided well within time.   

It was informed that Councillor Nyoma and Dy Secretary LAACL Leh visited the site to take stock of the necessary arrangements to be made for the celebration.

The Nomadic Festival aims to promote the untouched nomadic culture and showcase the rich tradition, heritage and lifestyle of Changthang region.
