Educational/Industrial Visits at Central University Jammu

JAMMU, February 13: Under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu, Prof. Sanjeev Jain and Mentorship of Prof. Yashwant Singh, Head, Department of Computer Science & IT, an industrial visit under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (J&K) was conducted for 100 students of Govt. Model Higher Secondary School (Boys), Samba and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Rajpura (Samba) today. 

The students visited Central University of Jammu to familiarize themselves with recent trends, developments, and innovations in the field of science and technology. The students visited the different state of the art laboratories of different science streams to acquire knowledge about future aspirations in the area of science and technology at the Central University of Jammu campus. They also visited the Kalam Centre of Excellence, Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Science, Himalayan Aerosol Research Instrumentation (HARI) facility, IoT Lab, Engineering Block and other important centres at the Central University.

Dr. Bhavna Arora, Associate Professor and Co-ordinator of the visit along with Mr. Zakir, Assistant Professor briefed the students about the innovations, research centres, facilities, and initiatives by the Central University of Jammu.
