Educational Institutions host Vigilance Awareness Week activities across Jammu Division

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 02:- Educational Institutions across Jammu Division organised a variety of activities to educate the students about the value of clean transparent governance here as part of the observance of Vigilance awareness week. 

An awareness programme was organized by the staff of HWC- Sub Centre Bijarni at Govt High School in Medical Block Ghat, District Doda

The awareness programme was held on the theme, “Say No to Corruption: Commit to the Nation”.

The staff of the school welcomed the health department and thanked BMO Ghat for organizing such an informative event for students.   

Meanwhile, awareness on health and hygiene was also imparted to the students by  Sapna Manhas (CHO/MLHP).

GDC Vijaypur: Cyber Jagrukta Committee of GDC Vijaypur in collaboration with IQAC and NSS  unit organised  slogan-writing competition on the theme “Say no to corruption; commit to Nation” to celebrate Vigilance Awareness Week 2023.

Students of the college participated in the event enthusiastically with great fervor and zeal.

The programme started with the welcome address by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convener Cyber Jagrukta Committee) where she briefed the students regarding the slogan writing competition and emphasizing the importance of Vigilance Awareness Week. 

The first position was achieved by Manvi Sharma of B.Sc. Sem III, Second position was attained by Mehak Sadotra of BA Sem III and third position was clinched by Rupaank Aryan of BA Sem III.

 The competition was judged by Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD, Political Science), Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education) and Naseem Choydhary (HOD English).

 GDC Ramgarh: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized screening of short films to inculcate awareness about fallouts of corruption. The event was organized by the College Advisory Committee under the guidance Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

A large No. of students as well as the faculty members witnessed the event with great zeal.

 The event was coordinated by Dr. Sandeep Kumar while other faculty members present were Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Prof. Risha Kumari, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Paramjeet Kour, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Dr. Ekta Rani and Ms. Priya Sharma.

 GDC KishtwarEco-Club of Government Degree College Kishtwar, in collaboration with Pollution Control Committee (PCC),  organised Painting and Debate competitions on the topic “Say no to Corruption; Commit to the Nation” as part of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week.

The events were held under the guidance of Principal   Dr. Jyoti Parihar and under the  convenorship of Dr. Sehrish Gazal (HoD Env Sciences).  

The lively and thought-provoking debates, along with the visually captivating paintings, highlighted the students’ creativity and their strong belief in the power of honesty and integrity. The event served as a platform for the young minds to express their views and contribute to the fight against corruption.

 The painting competition witnessed remarkable performances, with Shiveta Sharma, Mamta Kumari, and Aiysha Kouser securing the first, second, and third prizes, respectively.

 In the debate competition, Abroo Wajid,  Pooja Thakur and Aditi Sharma emerged victorious, capturing the first, second, and third positions respectively.
