Educational Visit Under Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyaan at CUJ

Students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota got first hand   experience of the cutting edge facilities and academic resources in CUJ.

 Jammu, 23 Feb 2024: Under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Prof. Sanjeev Jain and Mentorship of Prof. Yashwant Singh, Head, Department of Computer Science & IT, an educational cum exposure visit was conducted in Central University Jammu campus for 98 students of 8th Standard and about 100 students of class 11th of Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota, Jammu. This collaborative effort aims to promote a spirit of scientific inquiry and innovation among young minds.

 The students visited the Central University Jammu campus to familiarize themselves with recent trends, developments, and innovations in the field of science and technology. The students also visited the state-of-the art laboratories of different science streams and interacted with the technical experts to get knowledge about future aspirations at the Central University of Jammu.

They also visited the Kalam Centre of Excellence, Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Science (ISRO), Himalayan Aerosol Research Instrumentation (HARI) facility, IoT Lab, Engineering Block and other important centres at the CUJ.

Dr. Bhavna Arora, Associate Professor and Co-ordinator of the visit along with Mr. Zakir, Assistant Professor briefed the students about the innovations, research centres, facilities, and initiatives by the Central University of Jammu.

Through this initiative, Central University Jammu aims to ignite curiosity, inspire creativity, and cultivate a passion for science and technology among students. This visit aligns with the broader objectives of the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan to promote a culture of innovation and scientific temperament across educational institutions nationwide.
