Eight-Day NIOS Refresher Training for ASHAs concludes at Doda
DODA, DECEMBER 01: The eight-day NIOS Refresher Training for Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) concluded successfully today at the District Training Site (DTS) Trauma Hospital Khellani Doda.
The program, conducted under the guidance of the Mission Director, NHM J&K, and the direct supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar, aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of ASHAs to better serve their communities.
The comprehensive training program included both theoretical and practical sessions, ensuring the holistic development of participants. The training culminated with an Internal Evaluation, which comprised a Theory and Practical Examination along with a Skill Test. These assessments were conducted under the supervision of the State ASHA Trainer from Doda, and District Resource Persons from Ramban and Kishtwar, in the presence of the Chief Medical Officer.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Om Kumar highlighted the significance of such refresher courses in empowering ASHAs with updated knowledge and skills. He emphasized that ASHAs are the backbone of community healthcare and their training is crucial for achieving better health outcomes at the grassroots level.
The successful culmination of this training reflects the commitment of NHM J&K to strengthening the healthcare workforce and ensuring quality healthcare delivery in the region.
