BARAMULLA, AUGUST 10: In a heartfelt tribute to our martyrs, the Information Department Baramulla, Media Fraternity Tangmarg, CRPF 176 Battalion, Municipal Committee (MC) Tangmarg and JKTDC today jointly organized a plantation drive at TCP Park, Tangmarg, under the initiative ‘Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam.’

The event involved planting of saplings at TCP Park to honor the sacrifices made by our martyrs and to promote environmental sustainability. The drive saw enthusiastic participation from various groups, including members of the Media Fraternity, CRPF 176 Battalion personnel, and staff from the Information Department and JKTDC.

This initiative highlights the collective commitment to preserve the environment while paying homage to the martyrs. The plantation of saplings not only beautifies the area but also contributes to a greener and healthier community.

The drive is part of ongoing efforts to merge commemorative activities with environmental care, ensuring that the legacy of our martyrs inspires continued positive change.
Later, a cleanliness drive was also carried out at Babul Canal and the main market in Tangmarg under the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign. The cleanliness drive focused on improving sanitation and maintaining a cleaner environment in these key areas.
