Election Observers inspect polling stations in Banihal
RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 04: General Observer Himanshu Kumar Rai, along with Police Observer Kunal Aggarwal and Expenditure Observer Sulekh Chand Jain, conducted a comprehensive inspection of various polling stations in Assembly Constituency-55 Banihal today.
The Observers visited their respective offices in AC-55 as scheduled, addressing concerns raised by political parties and voters regarding the election process. They also inspected several polling stations located in government buildings, including High School Kaskoot, UPS Zenihal, Middle School Asher, Lower High School Nowgam, and Higher Secondary School Tethar.
During the visit, the Observers assessed polling arrangements and verified the availability of Assured Minimum Facilities, paying particular attention to the needs of elderly voters, women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). Immediate instructions were given to the concerned officers to rectify any deficiencies and to ensure a voter-friendly environment at the polling stations.
RO-55 Banihal Rizwan Asgar, ARO Imtiaz Ahmed, and other relevant officials accompanied the Observers throughout the inspection.
