Electoral Awareness programmes, Rallies held as part of SVEEP at GHSSs Nishat and Palpora in Srinagar
SRINAGAR, MARCH 23:- With a view to senzitize students regarding their voting rights and democratic responsibilities, several Electoral Awareness Programmes and Rallies were conducted at Government Higher Secondary School Nishat and Boys Higher Secondary School Palpora here on Saturday.
The awareness programmes and Rallies were held on the directions of the District Election Officer(DEO), Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat under the supervision of Nodal Officer SWEEP/AMS A. H Fani.
The students at both the schools actively participated in the program, showcasing their interest in learning about their democratic rights and responsibilities.
The Principals along with the staff members of both the Institutions elaborated on the significance of elections and how each vote holds the power to shape the future of the nation.
During the programmes, the students made a pledge to exercise their valuable votes and raise awareness among their families, friends, relatives and neighbors about the importance of voting.
The students understood that their participation in the democratic process can make a significant difference in the progress of their communities and the nation as a whole.
The programmes concluded with the “Run For Democracy,” where not only the local inhabitants but also nearby schools took part in the rallies.
Speaking with regard to the ongoing SVEEP campaign, the DEO Srinagar said such Electoral Awareness Programmes shall continue to aware younger generation about their voting rights and democratic setup.
He applauded the Nodal Officer SVEEP, his entire team and participant students for their enthusiastic participation in the Electoral Awareness Programmes
Nodal Officer SVEEP who led the rallies said that the SVEEP campaign is aimed to involve the entire community in promoting democratic values and encouraging active participation in the electoral process.
The Awareness Electoral Programmes Cum Rally was a resounding success. It provided a platform for students and community members to come together and strengthen their understanding of the democratic process.
