Employment Department organises awareness programme on Self-Employment initiatives at GDC Ukhral
RAMBAN, AUGUST 02: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, an awareness program regarding various Self Employment Schemes under Mission Youth J&K was organised today at Government Degree College Ukhral, Ramban. The program was conducted in coordination with the District Industries and Commerce and Rural Development Department.
The event aimed at generating mass awareness about the self employment schemes of Mission Youth among the unemployed Youth of the block.
At the beginning of the programme, Lovepreet Singh, Young Professional, DECC Ramban briefed about the schemes of Mission youth like MUMKIN, Tejaswini and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiatives. He elaborated the eligibility conditions, benefits and procedure of applying under the schemes.
He further requested the youth to think innovatively and bring out innovative ideas to set up their own business models and units and this department is ready to provide the required financial and other kind of support. Nearly 80 people participated in the event and about 17 young people showed their willingness to apply under these schemes.
Block Development Officer Dr. Sahid Salam provided special support for organizing this camp, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in empowering the local youth.
The program was graciously hosted by Dr. Iftikhar Hussain Lone, Officiating Principal of GDC Ukhral. He provided a motivational speech among the unemployed youth and alumni of the GDC present in the event and encouraged them to participate in such camps and take as maximum as possible benefit of the Government self employment schemes.
Representatives from the District Industries Centre (DIC) Ramban and JK Bank also participated, contributing valuable insights and support to the event.
Officials of the Employment department went out in the market places of Rajgarh and visited Local Bank branches, CSC centres and awared the people about the schemes and distributed the information pamphlets among them.
