Empowering Electorates: Awareness on EVMs, VVPATs imparted to citizens at Doda
DODA, FEBRUARY 14: In consonance to the directives of District Election Officer, Harvinder Singh and under the supervision of Deputy District Election Officer Om Prakash, the District Election Office Doda orchestrated an impactful awareness camp, here today.
The initiative, aligned with the guidelines stipulated by the Election Commission of India, aimed to familiarize citizens with the intricacies of casting votes using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) system.
The training camp unfolded at the District Election Office, nestled within the DC Office Complex. A multitude of local inhabitants, hailing from diverse corners of the district, congregated to partake in the daylong session. Their collective presence underscored a palpable eagerness to engage with and understand the electoral process more comprehensively.
At the helm of the training session was Ashok Kumar, a distinguished master trainer from the District Election Office.
Kumar provided invaluable expertise and guidance on navigating the intricacies of EVMs and VVPATs. Through meticulous instruction, attendees were equipped with the requisite knowledge to navigate the voting process effectively, thereby ensuring their active participation in upcoming elections.
The training session culminated in the dissemination of exhaustive information on casting votes during elections. By fostering a deeper understanding of EVMs and VVPAT, the initiative not only empowered the electorate but also bolstered the integrity and transparency of the electoral system in Doda District.
