EPFO holds outreach programme ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’
RAMBAN, February 27: Employees Provident Fund Organization today organised an Outreach Programme under its revamped ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ 2.0 initiative here in the conference hall District Administrative complex Ramban.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam was the chief guest on the occasion.
ALC Ramban Dr. Shushant Mahajan, CEO, CMO and other senior officers besides representatives of construction companies were also present in the programme.
While interacting with stakeholders, the Deputy Commissioner asked to target the labourers working in the various construction companies in the district in the first phase and register them on the EPFO portal. He also asked the Enforcement Officer to launch a mass IEC campaign to encourage eligible persons to take benefit from the EPFO scheme.
While presenting powerpoint presentation, the Enforcement Officer(EO), EPFO, Vijay Chogani said that the idea behind holding of Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 outreach programme was to evolve a mechanism where EPFO can reach out to the stakeholders though its field office in every district to redress the grievances of stakeholders, thereby increasing accessibility and visibility of the organisation.
“The idea is to save the valuable time and money of the people who seek the intervention of the EPFO for addressing their grievances and otherwise have to cover long distances due to absence of EPFO offices in some districts,” he added.
The EO informed that EPFO will ensure proper dissemination about the holding of such outreach programmes through all stakeholders so as to ensure maximum participation in the camps to make this programme successful and effective.
The outreach programme is not just a grievance redressal mechanism and information exchange network for the employers and the employees but also a platform for exchange of information with the district level authorities of various State and Central Government departments”, he added.
