Exemplary service in J&K rewarded: 480 DGP medals awarded in 2023 to police, army, and civilians

In a commendable display of recognition and appreciation, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, R.R. Swain, awarded the prestigious DGP’s Commendation Certificate and medal to a total of 480 individuals for their outstanding service during the year 2023.

The recipients included 430 police personnel and Special Police Officers (SPOs), 41 personnel from various Army/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) like BSF, CRPF, ITBP, and SSB, 8 government officers, and even one civilian.

This civilian, singled out for their contribution, was also awarded a cash reward of 10,000 rupees for their exemplary service.

DGP Swain, in his message, expressed heartfelt congratulations to all recipients, stating, “This prestigious recognition is a testament of commitment to excellence. Dedication and hard work does not go unnoticed.”

He further extended his gratitude to the families of the officers and personnel, acknowledging their unwavering support.
