Extension of timeline for Financial Assistance of Rs 5.5 lakh will help displaced persons: BJP Refugee Cell

JAMMU, 4 May; BJP Refugee Cell (PoJK) Thursday expressed sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha for extending the timeline of scheme for Financial Assistance of Rs 5.5 lakh for displaced persons of PoJK and Chhamb for one more year.

Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Convener of BJP Sharnarthi Cell said, “Extension of this scheme was one of our main demands as several of the families could not complete their documents within the times and deprived of the financial assistance rendered by the Modi Government to DPs of PoJK and Chhamb.”

He said, “we requested the Centre Government and LG Manoj Sinha through representations from time to time to extend the dateline. Even during inauguration of LG’s Special Governance Camp at Bhour Camp, the demand was highlighted before the LG and he had assured to take up the matter with Centre and now, our demand has been fulfilled.”

He requested all the left out families to complete their documents and forward the same to PRO through respective DC offices and avail the financial assistance which was approved by Central Cabinet for the DPs of PoJK and Chhamb.
