Faculty Development Programme on CSSTE organized by Department of Curriculum Development and Studies JK SCERT Jammu

Jammu, Dec 30: A Five day Faculty Development Programme on Centrally Sponsored Schemes on Teacher Education (CSSTE) was organized from 26 Dec to 30 Dec 2022 by Department of Curriculum Development  and Studies (Academic Unit-II) JK SCERT Jammu under the able guidance of Sh.H.R Pakhroo ,worthy Joint Director, JKSCERT Jammu and supervision of Sh.Swaran Singh Jaral,Professor (AU-II). Welcome address was given by Dr. Sanjeevani Sharma ,Assistant Professor(AU-II) Worthy Joint Director JKSCERT Jammu inaugurated the training programme .

He emphasized upon the need and significance of keeping abreast of  Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the field of Teacher Education. He further directed DIET and SCERT faculty members to attend this training programme with devotion and dedication so as to create awareness about the vision of NEP 2020 at grassroot level. Sh.SwaranSingh Jaral ,Professor(AU-II) also spoke on the occasion. The aim and objective of this programme was to sensitize SCERT and DIET faculty on various Teacher Education interventions and policies.

Resource persons were invited from NCERT New Delhi and reputed institutions of Ludhiana, Phagwara, Nawanshahr (Punjab),University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, Central University of Jammu, Govt.College of Education Canal Road and Rajbagh, Samagra Shiksha, Directorate Of School Education and Department Of Higher Education. Sh,Swaran Singh Jaral, Professor, Sh.Deepak Sharma, Sh.Yogesh Kumar, Sh.Pradeep Billowria, Academic officers from JKSCERT Jammu also acted as resource persons.

They deliberated sessions on various Centrally Sponsored Schemes like Continuous Professional Development, SamagraShiksha, Equitable and Inclusive Education, Initiatives to be taken for child wellbeing, Vocational education,Effective Governance through school complexes, Vision of NEP 2020 etc.

The training programme was coordinated by Mr.SushilHiteshi,Academic Officer (Coordinator) and Mtr.NayeemaFirdous, Academic Officer(Associate Coordinator).The organizing team included Parshotam Singh , Manisha Chun, Bindiya Balwal, Rakesh Chobber, Anil Sharma , Manjusha Kapoor,Vivek Jandial, Manju Chowdhary, Lakshmi Puri, Seema Zakir and Meena Thakur,

 In his valedictory speech,Sh.H.R.Pakhroo , worthy Joint Director congratulated the participants and SCERT faculty on successful completion of the training programme and reiterated that  DIET faculty should work in cohesion with SCERT Jammu and make concerted efforts to facilitate implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the field of Teacher Education . Vote of Thanks was presented by Dr.Sanjeevani Sharma, Assistant Professor(AU-II) JKSCERT Jammu.
