JAMMU February 15: Farmer Empowerment is a priority for the Modi government, stated Sat Sharma, former J&K BJP President & former Cabinet Minister, while talking to a deputation of farmers.

Sat Sharma (CA), accompanied by Ashwani Sharma, former MLA was attending to the public grievances at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

After listening intensely to the farmers, BJP leaders stated that they would make sure that the farmers do not suffer for any issue.

“Growth of the nation is deeply connected to the wellbeing of the farmer and the productivity of farming. A multi-pronged approach is thus being ushered in to boost farmer welfare and enhance agricultural productivity at every stage. Farmer Empowerment is a priority for the Modi government that intends to push our nation to greater heights,” said Sat Sharma.

“The Modi government has focused on doubling farmers’ income, securing them and their endeavours, making them tech savvy, boosting agriculture research and education, and building farm-related infrastructure are some of the major goals set and being worked upon for the farmers’ welfare”, said Ashwani Sharma.

A deputation of farmers from Bishnah requested the senior BJP leaders to complete pending development works in vegetable and fruit Mandi, Bishnah. A deputation requested for culvert and road to Datta Talab, Ghagwal. A deputation requested for drain manufacturing in ward 61, JMC. A deputation requested for streetlights on service poles in A/D block, Gandhi Nagar. A deputation requested to solve their issue concerning insufficient water supply in Marble Enclave, Trikuta Nagar.

The BJP leaders also listened to the numerous individuals and deputations from different parts of Jammu & Kashmir who visited the party office to represent the issues of their respective areas as well as their individual concerns.

BJP leaders, on the spot addressed various issues presented in the camp related to the water, electricity, lanes, drains, roads, health, revenue departments, Ration issue etc.
