Farooq Abdullah’s Unity & Diversity Remark Falls Flat When He Talks About Pakistan & ISI: Tarun Chugh
“National Conference’s Unity Talk Just a Filmi Drama”
JAMMU, AUGUST 30In a notable political development, Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary and Incharge for J&K and Ladakh, has criticized Farooq Abdullah’s recent comments on unity and diversity, especially in light of discussions involving Pakistan. Chugh condemned the sudden shift in the National Conference’s rhetoric as mere political theatre.
Chugh stated, “We call on the JKNC’s Abdullah-led government to go beyond empty rhetoric and take tangible steps toward building a unified and integrated nation. Mere grandstanding and empty promises will not achieve this; we need real results and sincere efforts.”
He further commented on the irony of the situation, pointing out that the National Conference, which dazzled the public with promises to restore Article 370 in their election manifesto, now claims that this could take over 100 years. Chugh remarked that it was “ironic” for them to seek to be seen as champions of unity. He added that before they lecture others on coming together, they should stop misleading the people of Jammu and Kashmir with false promises and focus on providing genuine solutions.
