FDP on “Research Methodology and Data Analysis” Concluded at Community College, Central University of Jammu

21^st December, 2024 : Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology and Data Analysis organised by UGC-MMTTC in collaboration with Community College, CU Jammu concluded with an impressive closing ceremony under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu.

Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu in his message said that collaborative research and quality publication is like a currency for researchers and impressed upon the audience to take maximum benefit of hands-on-training sessions.

He appreciated the organizers for organizing the FDP and wished them best for successful conduct of the same.

The others who were present on the occasion including Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar, CU Jammu, Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dean, School of Business Studies, Prof. Ritu Bakshi, DSW, Prof. J. N. Baliya and Dr. Akshay Kumar, Deputy Director, UGC-MMTTC.

The event witnessed significant participation of faculty members and research scholars from within and outside HEIs across Jammu and Kashmir representing diverse disciplines. 

It is pertinent to mention here that week long Programme was inaugurated by HVC Prof. Sanjeev Jain in presence of Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu and Sh. Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Director, JKEDI.

During the seven days’ FDP, prominent resource persons including Prof. Jeevan Jyoti and Prof. Hardeep Chahal from Department of Commerce, University of Jammu, Prof. Anil Gupta, Director, SHTM, University of Jammu, Dr. Vijay Kumar Shivgotra and Dr. Sunil Bougal from Department of Statistics, University of Jammu, Prof. J. N. Baliya & Prof. Ritu Bakshi from Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu, Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dean, School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu, Dr. Udhay Pratap Singh, Department of Mathematics, Central University of Jammu, Dr. Sakshi Arora, Department of Computer Science, SMVDU, Katra, Prof. Santap Sanhari Mishra, Head, Department of PPA, Central University of Jammu shared their expertise with the young faculty members and research scholars.

 During this FDP hands-on training sessions were also organized for the benefit of participants.

Earlier Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Principal Community College welcomed the dignitaries on the dais and   participants and highlighted about the deliberations which were held during the FDP. 

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Yashwant Singh , Registrar CUJ  impressed upon the participants to apply the tools learned during FDP and publish in quality Journals. Prof Jaya Bhasin, highlighted the importance of adopting the best practices in the research.

Prof Ritu Bakshi, highlighted the importance of integrating the traditional knowledge in research to provide solutions for real world problems.

Formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Neelika Arora, Director, UGC MMTTC.

She congratulated all the participants for showing the commitment and zeal for learning during the entire FDP.

She expressed gratitude towards the competent authorities of the University for their unwavering support in conducting FDPs & Workshops.

 Dr. Ketan Bhatt conducted the proceedings of the Programme. The entire program was coordinated by Dr. Naresh Kumar, Principal, CC and Dr. Shahid Mushtaq, Nodal Officer, Community College.  FDP Organising Committee Members included Dr. Anju Thapa, Dr. Shubam Amar, Dr. Ketan Bhatt, Dr. Payal Gandotra, Ms. Preeti Slathia, Mr. Kohit Targotra and Dr. Prinka Dogra.
