Female drug peddler among two apprehended by Budgam Police; contraband seized
In a significant development aimed at tackling drug trafficking, Budgam Police in Jammu and Kashmir apprehended two individuals, including a female drug peddler.
The arrests were made at a checkpoint established by the Soibugh Police Post in Kashka Mohalla Soibugh. Officers on duty noticed two individuals acting suspiciously while carrying nylon bags. Upon attempting to approach the suspects, they tried to flee the scene.

Police swiftly apprehended the suspects, identified as Mohd Shafi Malik and Zeba Bano, both residents of Kashka Mohalla Soibugh. A search of their belongings revealed a substantial quantity of contraband substance, weighing approximately 27.1 kilograms.
An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered against the arrested individuals under relevant sections of the law at PS Budgam.
Police have initiated an investigation to uncover the source of the drugs and determine if there are any connections to a larger drug trafficking network.
