Fertility Camp under Rashtriya Gokul Mission-CSS organized by at Matta Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, February 16: In continuation to the special campaign launched to resolve the infertility problem among Cattle, a mega camp was today organized by Animal Husbandry Department at Matta Kishtwar under “Sexual Health Control programme”, a sub-component of “Rashtriya Gokul Mission”- Govt. of India.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen led the camp along with Dr. Arif Shah MVO , Dr. S. M. Usman (VAS LSDC, Sangrambhata), Dr Owais Bashir (VAS TU Kishtwar) along with the staff of the concerned centers .
Around 70 local animal breeders including women participated in the camp. As many as ten cows were treated free of cost for various fertility related problems by means of hormonal treatment. Mineral mixtures and dewormers were also distributed among the participating animal breeders free of cost under the scheme.
The public was also educated about various Departmental schemes like KCC, DEDS, Cattle Insurance, Dairy Development schemes etc. and urged the public to get themselves benefitted by these schemes and uplift their socio-economic status by doubling their income which is the main aim of the present Government.
The CAHO had a detailed deliberation on the importance of the SWACHHTA MISSION & its importance in the Livestock Production & Management. He also urged the people to keep the premises clean as well as adopt the habit of cleanliness as the whole nation these days is promoting the Swachta Mission.
The local public thanked the CAHO Kishtwar for organizing such a camp at the far flung area and wished to get the benefits of the Department in future as well.
