FICCI FLO JKL Empowers Rural Women through Online Skilling Courses

Jammu, 9th October: FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL) successfully launched a series of online skilling initiatives aimed at empowering rural women and enhancing their livelihood opportunities. As part of this program, HUNAR Online Garment Making Kits were distributed to the second batch of women from Bhalwal village. Additionally, certificates were awarded to the first batch of women who completed the online Makeup course, facilitated by HUNAR, a prominent platform for creative online education in fashion, beauty, and food.

Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL, praised the first batch of women for completing the Makeup course. She encouraged them to use their newly acquired skills by setting up small parlors in their homes, offering makeup services to their communities, and beginning their entrepreneurial journeys. Mrs. Gupta also distributed Garment Making kits to the next group of women and urged them to approach their training with dedication. She emphasized that these initiatives align with FLO JKL’s mission to foster self-reliance among women and enable them to make meaningful contributions to their communities.

The event was met with excitement and optimism, as the women eagerly embraced the opportunity to learn and improve their skills. Rajni Devi, the Sarpanch of Bhalwal block, expressed heartfelt gratitude to FICCI FLO JKL for its unwavering support to the women of the village, emphasizing the positive impact these programs are having.

Prominent members of FLO JKL, including Immediate Past Chairperson Varuna Anand, Treasurer Sona Mehta, Joint Executive Secretary Nandita Bajaj, and Nandini Mehta, were present at the event, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to empowering women with the tools they need to create sustainable livelihoods and drive social change in their communities.
