Field Office Srinagar Ministry of MSME organizes Awareness program on ZED Certification scheme
SRINAGAR, JANUARY 25: Br. MSME Development and Facilitation office Srinagar under Ministry of MSME GoI organized webinar MSME Sustainable ZED Certification scheme.
The webinar was attended by Joint Director MSME, DFO Jammu G Velladurai; Director ZED from QCI, Dr. Ramanand N. Shukla, Nikhil Bansal Consultant, Field officers of Industries and Commerce and MSME s of J&K. The program was coordinated by Saheel Alaqband Asst Director MSME GoI.
Jt Director MSME DFO stressed on the importance of ZED Scheme of GoI and advised all MSMEs to come forward and register on ZED Portal. He said the Ministry has worked out district wise targets all across the country in order to register a maximum number of MSMEs under ZED Scheme and all possible support will be provided to MSMEs in this regard.
Earlier, Alaqband said that ZED is actually a self assessment tool and excellent framework besides being a certification scheme where units are rated as Gold, Silver and Bronze.
In order to be competitive in the market and ensure sustainability, MSMEs should go through this system and process certification. He said besides the Ministry, many states across the country have started incorporating ZED in their schemes to provide additional benefits on the basis of ratings.
Dr. Ramanand N. Shukla gave detailed insights about the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification scheme and focused on the benefits of ZED and Vision of becoming MSME Champions by taking the journey of ZED.
Later he positively responded to the queries raised by the MSMEs and officers of Industries department.
Nikhil Bansal Consultant gave a detailed presentation on the ZED scheme and procedure for availing Bronze, Silver or Gold rating.
At the end, an interaction session was held with the MSMEs in order to respond to the queries of MSMEs pertaining to the Ministry of MSME schemes.
More than 70 participants attended the program.
