First level EVM randomization successfully held in Samba
SAMBA, MARCH 22: Samba district has achieved a significant milestone in its electoral preparations with the successful completion of the first level of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) randomization for the upcoming Parliamentary Elections 2024 under the supervision of District Election Officer, Abhishek Sharma.
The event, held in the presence of senior officials and representatives from various political parties, focused on allocating 493 Ballot Units, 493 Control Units and 511 Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units for all three assembly segments viz; 69-Ramgarh, 70-Samba, and 71-Vijaypur.
He emphasized on the primary objective of the randomization process to ensure transparent, free and fair elections, devoid of any human intervention by utilizing dedicated software specifically designed for this purpose, the randomization was conducted meticulously.
Before the commencement of the randomization, the DEO briefed political representatives about the process, reassuring them of the comprehensive arrangements in place to guarantee fair polls.
The subsequent phases of randomization will determine the specific allocation of EVMs to polling stations in the upcoming stages of preparation.
The list of all EVMs post-randomization has been handed over to representatives of all political parties present, ensuring transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
