Floriculture Department celebrates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

JAMMU, October 31: The Department of Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu celebrated “National Unity Day or RashtriyaEktaDiwas” at Directorate of Floriculture, Parks & Gardens, Har-Ki-PoudiBagh-e-Bahu Jammu under the supervision of S. Jatinder Singh, Director General, Department of Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu.

The Director General administered the pledge to all the officers/officials. The nation commemorates RashtriyaEktaDiwas on the occasion of the birth anniversary of SardarVallabhbhai Patel on 31st October, who was the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of India.He was a man of courage and determination and in the true sense the“IRON MAN OF INDIA”. He was instrumental in uniting all the princely Statesin India.

Interacting with the officers/officials of the Department, he stressed that the purpose for organizing such programmes is to promote National Integration among Citizens of India as well as maintain Unity and Integrity of the Country. Deputy Director (P&S), Accounts Officer, Floriculture Officer (HQ) & AFO Bagh-e-Bahu were present in today’s ceremony along with all the officials of the Directorate.

The observance of the pledge taking ceremony of National Unity Day was also organised in all the Districts of the Division under the guidance of District Officers of Floriculture, Parks & Gardens Department Jammu.
