Food Safety Team conducts inspections at Kulgam

KULGAM, MARCH 11: A team comprising officials from the Food Safety department, along with a veterinary surgeon today conducted inspections of various food establishments in Kulgam town.

The team inspected Nanwais (local bread makers), meat and chicken shops, and roadside vendors.

The primary focus of the inspections was to ensure food safety and promote hygienic practices. 

Food business operators (FBOs) were educated on the importance of avoiding the use of newspapers for serving snacks.

The team also emphasized consumer awareness regarding the health risks associated with consuming food served in newspapers.
