Forest Department Nyoma celebrates World Forest Day at KGBV School

LEH, March 22: The Forest Department Nyoma celebrated World Forest Day at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) School on March 21.

Village Education Committee, Chairman, Spenba Tsering and Range Forest Officer, Tsewang Dorjey, graced the occasion.

Highlighting the importance, the Forest Department organised painting competitions for students under the theme ‘Forest and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World’.

Prizes were also distributed to the winners, acknowledging their artistic endeavors and commitment to sustainability.

In line with our commitment to environmental conservation, several trees were planted during the event reflecting our collective effort to nurture a greener and healthier environment for generations to come.

The Forest Department Nyoma extends its gratitude to all participants, partners, and supporters who contributed to the success of this event.

Staff and students of KGBV school were also present during the event.
