Four-days long SEE learning workshop concludes at DIET Leh

Leh, Jan 10: The four-day long Social, Emotional and Ethical (SEE) learning educator preparation workshop concluded on Tuesday at District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh as a part of ongoing winter training program.

Around 150 foundational level teachers of government school participated in the workshop in two batches.

District Education Planning Officer Leh, Sonam Wangchuk was the chief guest on the occasion. In the four-day workshop SEE learning workshop facilitators introduced the curriculum and framework of Social Emotional and Ethical Learning to the participants. SEE is one of the important components of New Education Policy-2020 and National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF FS).

During the workshop, the participants were familiarized with skills like attention practices, resiliency practices, system thinking, navigating emotions and many more. In addition, a Bhoti book on ‘How to Deal with Depression’ by Gyan Konchok Nodup teacher of High School Yourgo was launched in presence of Education Planning Officer Leh, Sonam Wangchuk and Principal DIET Leh, Chetan Dorje.

Principal, DIET Leh Chetan Dorje welcomed the chief guest and expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of four-day workshops and urged the participants to implement the program with students.

DEPO, Leh, Sonam Wangchuk congratulated the teachers for successful completion of SEE Learning workshop as a part of winter training. He urged the teachers for implementing such program for the holistic development of students. He emphasized on the development of reading habits by teacher themselves for their personal development and suggested some books for personal development.

The program concludes with a vote of thanks by Training Coordinator HOD DIET Leh, Tsering Yangdol.
