Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar celebrates 13th National Voters Day

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 25: Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar in collaboration with District Administration, Srinagar today celebrated the National Voters Day, here.

The programme was attended by Joint Commissioner, SMC, Tehsildar South and Booth Level Officers besides a good number of students.

In his keynote address the Chief guest, Joint Commissioner, SMC stressed on all those who have attained the age of 18 Years to come forward for registering themselves as voters. He, further, explained the importance of voting in ushering a healthy change in the country.

Earlier, the Principal, Prof (Dr) G M Lone highlighted the importance of voting in a vibrant democracy.

Tehsildar South explained in detail the history behind the National Voters Day.

Election Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) and certificates of appreciation were distributed among the students and BLOs, respectively.
