GCW inaugurates newly upgraded rest room complex

UDHAMPUR, MAY 27: Students Welfare Committee(SWC) in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government College for Women Udhampur today inaugurated a newly upgraded rest room complex, under the guidance of the college  Principal, Prof Anjali Mahajan.

To improve facilities, the SWC decided to make the rest rooms female friendly as it’s an exclusively women’s college. Sanitary napkin vending machines and incinerators were installed in already functional washrooms. Another incinerator was installed in the female staff rest room.

The Principal said that the College was focussing on improving infrastructure in the college to enable the girls to have access to better menstrual hygiene practices, which will make a difference to the overall studying atmosphere.

The inauguration of the newly installed machines was done by  Vishaka Gandotra, President of College for the session 2022-23 in the presence of Council members , Principal Prof Anjali Mahajan, Dr Anita Sharma Convener IQAC, Dr Kewal Kumar Convener SAP and  Sumita Rao Convener Student Welfare Committee.
