GDC Ajas organises Voter Education & Awareness programme under SVEEP

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 27: Government Degree College (GDC) Ajas on Tuesday organized a comprehensive Voter Education and Awareness programme as part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign at the college auditorium, here.

The aim of the program was to educate students about the importance of voting and electoral participation.

The event was attended by students and faculty members.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by the college principal, highlighting the significance of active participation in the electoral process for the growth and development of the nation.

A special lecture was delivered by College Education Nodal officer, Ashaq Hussain Parray sharing valuable insights about the electoral process, emphasizing the rights and responsibilities of voters.

He highlighted the importance of voter registration, casting informed votes, and the role of youth in shaping the future through active political participation.

Later, an interactive session was conducted where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts regarding the electoral process.

Various topics such as voting procedures, voter identification, electoral roll verification, and the significance of free and fair elections were discussed during the programme.
